"This depends where the sewer is located. If it’s under your property it’s you. If it’s under their property it will be either them or the company that operates the waste water network"

"This will depend on where the problem is and what year your house is."

"This depends on were the sewer is if it's on your property. It could depend on weather your head of the run ie the first drain on the system. Or weather there are more properties involved. So it's a local authority drain if there's more than one property involved."

"All depends where the sewer is damaged and how councils will not come onto private property to do any repairs without charging the land owner unless they have broke it themselves while doing other work"

"Hi if it is single serving and on your property and from your house , it’s your responsibility but if it’s a shared sewer no matter where it is , ie taking your waste and neighbourhoods waste , it’s the water boards responsibility"

"Afternoon, it depends on which side of the property is passing a problem. if its in your property the liability lies with yourself, if its a common area, then council."
