Semi detached roof

I live in a semi detached house. My neighbour recently got their half of the roof retiled. Their roofer has tiled their half up to the boundary of our property, leaving a couple inch gap and a partition strip fully on my side. Surely this can't be right. What is the correct way for the joint between the semis to be done? I'm assuming it was done this way as it was easier to remove full tiles but that's not my problem.

"The roofer should have installed a grp valley from top to bottom leaving a gap between your tiles and neighbours tiles this is standard practice or they will have installed a grp bonding gutter which has a large rise in the middle almost like a sharkfin on the boundary line. If this isn't the case and you think it's something else maybe try uploading some photos and we can see it and explain if they have done it correct or not. Hope this helps"

"Hi there
There should always be a bonding tray where the two roofs meet if your neighbour has used a different tile or if the gauge is wrong on your behalf , but if it’s a case of just putting new and the same tiles back on they should interlock as normal.
There should be no gap in between. I recommend you speak with the neighbour and the contractor and discuss this.
Hope this has helped
Regards
Michael"

"The contract Should’ve used a dry valley (GRP) to ensure the roof is waterproof to specifications"

"When a full roof is done on a semi detached house it should be a bounding tray that sits about 10inches on your side and 10 on the other so it runs the rain all the way down to your guttering but it should never be a gap sounds to me your neighbor had a rouge trader he must be if he left the roof like that speak to your neighbor and tell him/her this needs to be sorted ASAP as it’s gunna cause damage on your side of the roof and get a solicitor to send him/her a letter to get them to sort it out and get the details of the roofer and get your solicitor to send them a letter aswell that if it’s not sorted with in next 4 weeks your taking them to court that will get them moving . Hope you get it solved"
