Security cameras with 180° field of vision

Do most security cameras have a field of vision of 180° or thereabouts or is this a less common option?

Hi Joyce,

Rather than look at a camera with such a wide field of view, I would suggest that it's better to look at installing g 2 separate cameras (most of which usually have approx 90° FOV). You can then position them each to get the best shot to give you the coverage you require.

There are camera on the market that can view a certain area. But say for example there was an incident on the outskirts of were that camera is pointed .You can go back on the server and open the view to wider view. 
Have a look in to Hikvision.
we use them they are a fantastic system to use.

CCTV cameras come in various lens widths. 2.8mm lens will give you the largest field of vision suitable for most applications and with an higher resolution camera i.e. 8mp you'll capture plenty of detail

There is no set field of vision when it comes to security cameras, most of the newer smart cameras such as Ring and Arlo have this angle however traditional cameras come in a wire variety of sizes and field of vision.
