"Firstly it's important to look whether it's a structural ridge beam or a non-structural ridge board, the structural beam will sit underneath the top of the rafters whereas the non-structural board will be compressed between the top of the rafters, either way it's quite a job to replace as it's installed during the roof build.

In my opinion you should be looking at a couple of grand minimum, but there isn't much to go on in your question... How big is it? How old is it? How many stories up is it? Internal access? Why has it rotted in the first place? The answers to all these questions and more will affect the price of replacement."

"It depends . If ridge is rotten it would involve taking off all the ridge slate or tile . Then possibly all rafter ends may need doing as if you have a rotten ridge you rafter end are most likely rotten . Plus scaffolding plus rubbish removal . It could lead to a total re roof averaging 3 to 5 thousand"

"It is common for roof joists to deteriorate and rot over time, necessitating replacement. It is crucial to keep the structure up to code in order to support the weight of the roof, timbers, and coverings. In the UK, the average price to repair a three-bedroom home's roof joists ranges from £250 to £500 per beam."

"The cost to replace or repair a rotten ridge beam in a roof can vary widely depending on factors such as the extent of damage, the size and type of the roof, the materials needed. However, it's not uncommon for such repairs to range from a few hundred to several thousand depending on whats required."

"Hi there, it all depends on the length/size of the beam if you would like a rough estimate I’d suggest googling it, that should give you a rough idea.

Kind regards."
