Roof rafter replacement or repair
I'm doing a new roof, the roofer is saying the roofer is saying one of rafters require to be replaced and another needs repairing, and these will double the cost?
Is this the case? Thank you

"No it’s not the case if he’s replacing the felt then you expose the rafters take it out and replace it should be know more than an additional 300 max"

"Hi.
If this is a standard, pitched roof with slate or tiles then this should not be a big job but I agree with the other post that it needs to be seen. Often, a new rafter can be spliced along the existing and this is strong with the correct overlap and strong fixings.
I would get a second opinion in order to make sure you are not being overcharged.
