Ridge tiles on bungalow

The Cost of repointing ridge tiles on a bungalow roof

"To rake out and repoint would cost around £180 but you should check that the ridge tiles are still bonded securely to the roof by the bedding concrete. If not, the repointing will fall out very quickly. The cost to remove the ridges, re-bed on concrete and repoint would be £ 360 but would greatly outlast a repoint."

"It all depends if the existing muck is blown and the ridges are loose in which case they would need rebedding but just to repoint not including materials £150"

"Lots of roofers charge different prices. Personally I would not over point ridge tiles as the mortar mix will not stick to old soft mortar it will just fall out in in time. I would take them off and rebed on fresh mortar it would last year's then. Cheers"
