"You can rewire a property without pulling the floorboards up.
It depends if you want the cables hidden ie. chased into the wall or surface with mini trunking.
but lifting the floorboards here and there saves you a lot of chasing out walls.
It really depends what way you want to go about it."

"There are two ways of wiring a property by taking floor boards up or by taking ceilings down as you will need to wire through floor/roof joists to take wires from on side to the other."

"To wire lights the cables have to go under floor or above the ceiling so it’s either lift the floor boards or make holes in the ceiling
Or run all wires on the surface"

"Hi there.. yes you could do this but would need to pull down the ceiling instead. You could also make holes in the ceiling & patch up afterwards but then have to very careful where you are running the cables, keeping them away from hot water pipes etc. Hope this helps."

"If it is a house you would either have to go floor ceiling or trunking, but the floor is the best option"

"Yes you can do it by cutting channels out of the ceiling but obviously this will require patch up work. Or you can rewire in surface trunking which would create the least damage and very little patch up work but would be slightly more expensive. It depends if tru king bothers you, most people don't like it"
