"Gas central heating is still more efficient and gives you a lot more control than EC7 , however one thing that you need to be aware of is a recent change in building regs which requires any new heating installation must be heat pump ready even if you fit a gas boiler ,This means larger diameter pipework and radiators , the idea being that if you fit a heat pump the heating circuit will give the required output at a lower running temperature,"
