"Hi well to reopen a fireplace first you need to no if your chimney is capped or if you have a pot that has a cow on it if you do have any of them then you can just remove whatever is on the inside and before fitting a new fireplace lit a small fire (burn paper) so you can see how quickly the smoke rises and you will no that the chimney is clear all the way"

"Simple enough open it up and by a smoke tablet from the plumber merchants lite it a put it in the opening go outside you should see smoke coming from the chimney then you know it’s clear. However it will still need to be swept to make sure it nice and clean"

"To reopen a fireplace hearth for a bioethanol fireplace, follow these steps:

1.Assess the Existing Hearth:
-Check if the previous tenants covered the fireplace professionally. If so, they might have installed a ventilation brick to prevent dampness. Remove the ventilation brick and assess the size of the old fireplace aperture.
2.Prepare the Space:
-Clear any debris or obstructions from the hearth area.
-Ensure proper ventilation to allow for safe combustion.
3.Install the Bioethanol Fireplace:
-Most bioethanol fireplaces have a separate burner reservoir for the fuel. Place the burners into the burning chamber of the fireplace body.
Ignite the bioethanol fuel using a long lighter or match.
-Depending on the model, adjust the flame using a remote control, slider or lid.
4.Enjoy Your Eco-Friendly Fireplace:
-Bioethanol fireplaces provide sustainable, smoke-free, and convenient burning. -They mimic the look and feel of traditional fireplaces without the hassle of gas or wood.
Remember to follow safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions when installing and using your bioethanol fireplace."
