Removal of old garage

How much does it normally cost to remove an old garage made from concrete and asbestos? I know it's a specialist job but I'm not sure of a ballpark figure and I want to make sure I'm not being ripped off. I live in the North West and there's plenty of room for access.

"Hi,
It would be quite expensive each little bag of stones is around £3.60 just to go to skip. Then removing asbestos is specialised on top which I'm not sure how much someone would charge although it's free to get rid off at tip but each small piece needs double wrapping so it's a bit lengthy than just taking it all down."

"The cost for removing an old garage made from concrete and asbestos can vary based on several factors, but a rough ballpark figure in the UK for this type of job is usually between *£1,000 to £3,000*. This range depends on:

1. *Size of the garage* – Larger structures will generally cost more to remove.
2. *Asbestos handling* – Asbestos removal requires specialist equipment and licensing, which adds to the cost.
3. *Disposal fees* – Proper disposal of asbestos and construction materials can also add to the cost.
4. *Location and access* – As you mentioned there is plenty of room for access, which can help reduce costs.

It’s always recommended to get multiple quotes from licensed professionals to ensure you're getting a fair price and meeting safety standards."

"Hi,

Well, we'd charge £1150 to remove the garage if it was constructed purely out of concrete/wood.

With it contains asbestos, and this being a specialist job, I'd of thought around the £2-3K mark.

Hope this helps."
