"In regrout you need to remove old one. This is time consuming exercise plus risks of damage the edges of the tiles. If someone gonna do it properly then you don't save much. I would say about 70% cheaper than retaileing cost."

"Regrouping is way cheaper than re-tiling as long as the tiles don't become loose or damaged during the process of grout removal.
Some grout can be easily removed using a a blade while some might require cutting out using electrical equipment thus causing noise and some dust if not properly suppressed.
The actual regrouping is quicker to do, it is just the grout removal which laborious and time consuming.
Would highly recommend regrouping if tiles are OK!"

"As the grout discoloured or is it loose and falling out . If it’s loose you’ll probably find the tiles are loose and need replacing .Regrouting will be a lot cheaper than having it retiled as there would be a charge of taking tiles off and re plastering first then the cost of new tiles and labour charges."
