Recommended wireless security alarms?

What are some of the best wireless security alarms on the market? I have an old wired alarm that I would like to replace and I want to know what products I should consider.

"Hello, we would recommend an HKC hybrid alarm system that adds wireless technology along with wired on the same system, also giving you the option to remotely monitor your alarm from a smartphone."

"Scantronic are really good and reliable alarms. Cheap to install, and can go on to your phone or tablet."

"Texecom Premier Elite are really good systems. They also have a free app to set, and unset the system, and receive alerts if the alarm is triggered."

"Ajex is new on the market which is wireless and can add it to your mobile so if out it will alert you."

"Every installer has their own preference. I personally haven’t seen anything on the market better than the Texecom Ricochet gear, mains wired panel, huge range of detectors, smartcom is great for linking the system to smartphones/ tablets, customer service is also second to none.

A lot of installers are currently using the Ajax kits but they feel a bit DIY to me, main panel plugs into a wall socket, sensors come with sticky pads, bell looks a bit naff, the one good bit on them is the app and ease of installation but for a ‘proper’ alarm I’d say texecom all day."

"Depending upon the size of your property, and what you require the system to do, my first choice would be the texecom premier elite ricochet. This system is the next generation of wireless security, featuring Ricochet mesh networking wireless technology, which delivers more performance than any other wireless security system. Ricochet enabled wireless devices, receive and repeat wireless transmissions from other devices The next system to look at would be the Pyronix Wireless Enforcer system."

"I highly recommend Texecom Elite Ricochet as you can use wired devices as well as wireless so it is great for updating an existing wired device with the option to add additional protection with the wireless devices. You can also have a Smartcom installed which allows remote access to set and unset the system with any smartphone or tablet with internet connection and you can receive notifications from alarm activation's plus who has set and unset the system."

"A lot of camera systems say they are wireless, or advertise as wireless Wi-fi cameras however these still require a power source/cable to operate

There’s a few systems out there that are cable free. Most notably from the brand EZIVIZ which is compatible with Hikvision. You can pick up a wire free battery powered camera from a wholesaler"
