"If there is no supply at all to the porch then you would need to get one from nearest point .this could be a big job aswell as messy"

"If new cable run is required from nearest existing lighting circuit then lifting floorboards, chasing walls etc. Also a swich needs to be added. Also minor works certificate req'd to be sent to building control. So depends on job, only you and electrician would know. 250 seems fair if a lot of work needed"

"A lot would depend on the circumstances but the price is not unreasonable"

"Not enough information provided to determine the actual cost but if it's a addition than cable route, type of finish quoted and if materials included, than £260 would be reasonable, but if you're even questioning the quote than seek alternative or negotiate with him/her."

"it is possible that the price is real. it depends on how complex the assembly is..

"Yes if it’s just a swap over it should only be around £50-£60"

"Hello Daniel,

Depending on how the light is to be installed and how it needs to be wired would determine the costs, I’m sure the cost reflects this but If your not sure best get another quotation to compare
