Problem on my survey

Hi, I’m in the process of buying a house & the survey says that the soil & vent pipe need to be raised my question is why & how much will it cost for a professional to do it.

"I would assume that the present termination of the SVP is situated whereupon the smells from the drain could ingress into the property causing an obvious nuisance.

The SVP would require extended or possibly an air-admittance valve could be employed subject to site conditions.

We would offer a day-work rate for such works or alternatively, a quotation if you were able to provide more information, such as SVP material, access requirements etc"
