Plastering not adequate

Hi I'm renovating my house and can see a few cracks on my walls, also is it normal to see the metal trims on the window? I feel like the plastering has been done very thinly

"Hello,

Cracking on plaster can be caused by many things, poor application, drying to quick, damage, settlement to name but a few.

Its usually only an issue if you tap it and there is a hollow sound where the cracks are indicating the plaster has become detached from the surface underneath.

If it hasn’t enlarge the crack, fill, sand and paint and it will be perfectly fine.

Regarding the corner trims, if you run your hand over and it feels smooth just paint it and don’t worry about it"

"Yes you should be able to see the metal corner, if you can see the metal wings then the plaster maybe a bit thin or sometimes the beads come a bit oily and burns through the plaster. Hope this helps."

"Yeah! The cracks can be due to movement in the house. This could be strong winds or movement in the terrain.

In regards to the corner beads metal, this is totally normal. It is nice and sharp to have the edge cleaned up and any excess plaster if they have left any removed before painting.

Warm Regards,

Vic."
