"The cost to plaster a room of size 5m x 5m, including the ceiling, walls, and a chimney, with four external corners, will vary based on several factors such as location, quality of materials, and the complexity of the job. Here's a breakdown of the typical costs involved:

Materials
Plaster: The amount of plaster required will depend on the number of coats and the type of plaster used (e.g., gypsum plaster, lime plaster). On average, you might need about 1.5-2 bags of plaster per square meter for two coats (base coat and finish coat).
Bonding Agents and Adhesives: These are used to prepare the walls.
Plaster Mesh (if needed): To reinforce plaster on walls with potential cracking issues.
Sundries: Including corner beads, screws, nails, and other consumables.
Labour
Labour costs will depend on the rates in your area and the experience of the plasterers.

Cost Estimates
Materials:
Plaster: Approximately £5-£10 per bag. For a room this size, you might need around 20-25 bags, so the cost for plaster alone could be £100-£250.
Bonding Agents and Adhesives: Approximately £50-£100.
Plaster Mesh (if required): Approximately £50-£100.
Sundries: Approximately £50-£100.
Total Material Cost: £250-£550.
Labour:
Plastering labour typically ranges from £15-£30 per square meter in the UK. For a room with a total surface area (walls and ceiling) of around 70-80 square meters, the labour cost could be around £1050-£2400.
Additional Factors:
External corners and chimney work may add complexity and time, potentially increasing costs by £100-£300.
Total Estimated Cost
Combining materials and labour, the total estimated cost to plaster a 5m x 5m room with a chimney and four external corners would be approximately £1300-£3250.

Additional Considerations
Location: Prices can vary significantly based on your geographical location.
Quality of Finish: Higher-quality finishes or more intricate work will increase costs.
Access and Preparation: Any required preparation work (e.g., removing old plaster, repairing damaged surfaces) will add to the overall cost.
It's always recommended to get multiple quotes from local plasterers to ensure you get a fair and accurate estimate based on your specific requirements."
