"It would be cheaper to cover.area with plaster board so asbestos is not disturbed then plaster If you choose to remove asbestos make sure its done by a qualified specialist and disposed of correctly."

"Done this before
You can apply SBR primer then a thin coat of carlite bonding then a scim of finish
Works well.
Or drop a new ceiling frame and plaster board
And scim
Hope this helps

"No, you can't just plaster over an asbestos ceiling. Asbestos is really dangerous, and if you disturb it, it can release harmful fibers into the air. Before you can do any plastering, the asbestos ceiling has to be completely removed by a licensed professional. They'll handle it safely and dispose of it properly. Only after that's done and the area is cleaned up can you think about applying new plaster. So, the asbestos ceiling needs to be removed first."

"You can board over it and skim over the board much easier and cheaper than having it removed"

"It depends on the type of asbestos if it’s white asbestos then you could overboard the ceiling and then skim, if it’s any other asbestos then it needs to be expertly removed."

"You can either pay for asbestos removal or technically you can plaster over it but it is way to risky, it can cause thd plaster to peel off and not bond or adhere to the ceiling, best bet is to overboard the ceiling
Thanks
