Pitch pine is harder wearing than pine it comes from a hardy tree that can grow in places that a lot of other trees can’t . It has an orangey tinge to it that differs to pine .  There are a lot of people having reclaimed pitch pine floors because of it coming out of old buildings as it was very common years ago
