Painting a ceiling in a dark colour

Question

Will painting my ceiling in a dark colour make the room look smaller? I'd like to do something a bit different but I'm worried about the outcome.

It shouldn’t be a problem- it depends on the look your going for , dramatic bedrooms , maximal and dark interior design have these features

Go for a different colour on the walls and it will look better

depends how high your ceiling is now normal house now are 8 foot so older houses could be just over 9 foot

Hello, my profesional opinion is that the brighter colours gives you the sensation of larger space, and the light is reflected easier. However,  choosing dark for the ceiling would go with some Led light  on the cuttings , either some lights sky stars effect to create a calm atmosphere. But in the end everyone has their own tastes and I would choose any colour that makes me confortable.
