Neighbours replace shared roof

My neighbour has had her half of our semi detach house roof replaced. The builder has cut the tiles on the boundary rather than interlock them. Will this cause us roof problems in the future

"As long as he’s used what we call a shark fin we’re the joint in the roof was made you should have no problems with water ingress.

P S a shark fin is a pre manufactured length of fibreglass with water bars both sides which is used after cutting a joint in tiles.

Regards"

"This is fine and will not cause problems
As long as they have fitted a bonding gutter between the 2 roofs and followed the manufacturer specifications
On installation"

"Yes. May cause water to ingress. Tiles must be interlocked!"

"Hello Susan as long as they have used a bonding gutter or some sort then this shouldn’t be a problem. Thanks Leigh"

"Usually when builders take on roofs it's not a good sign unless they have dedicated roofers on the books.
The abutment should have some sort of flashing, whether it be a bonded fibreglass tray underneath, some have vertical 'fins' that are visible, some are flat and require mortar sealing.
Lead flashing laid on top of the tiles and dressed neatly in sections no longer than 1500mm."

"It could cause a problem of mould and leakage late in future if it is not beatoned or sealed from the top"

"Possibly if the weather proof membrane underneath the tiles and banters hasn't been over lapped correctly."
