need to verify saftey of chimney breast removal

is the chimney breast removal that was done to my house before i even bought it safe

"Depends on what you’re doing to support it normally need to be supported by brackets"

"If you are able to see how they have supported it, you should be able to see a set of gallows brackets that should be bolted in.

This may be visible from the ground floor, 1st floor or the attic depending on how much of the chimney got removed."

"If the chimney breast has been removed what ever is above needs to be supported. If it is structural there should be a structural engineers report for the builder to follow and paperwork to show."

"if you have no building regs or engineer report then i would say no its not been done right you can check with you local council"
