Nail gun recommendations for wood panelling

I'm putting up a lot of wood panelling around the home and think a nail gun will speed things up. Can you recommend a good gun for DIYers?

"Paslode Nail Guns - these are the best on the market as the cheaper ones can easily cause many issues with how the nail enters the woods."

"Machine mart sell a package with a gun , compressor, airline and nails .
Roughly £150 I actually have one in my van and use daily, they are light and compact and save hours of labour . Cost wise a cordless nail gun ie Paslode would be around £600"

"Hello, for wood panelling I would advise using a 2nd Fix nail gun (refereed to as a pin gun). As the heads of these nails are much smaller than a framing nail gun.

However, these pin guns can be costly (I have posted a link to one below for reference. You may be best off hiring a tradesmen to carry out the work for you as it may be more cost effective depending on how much panelling you have to do.

Also don't forget - it would be a good idea to put some sort of sticky adhesive behind the panelling before pinning it to the wall. This can be picked up from a local DIY store for a couple of pounds per tube.

Here is a good example of one that I would recommend for a DIY'er. https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwjC-uXX9db9AhXV7e0KHSt7AFEYABABGgJkZw&sig=AOD64_18faKijN5k-dc6IPGxHMSMyj6bOA&ctype=5&q=&ved=0ahUKEwjMl-DX9db9AhVXPcAKHXDmApgQww8IoQw&adurl="

"the one I use is a passlode but they are expensive maybe you could hire one . you need a panelling gun that uses 35 mm nails no longer, use a combination of nails and glue"

"I would recommend a finishing nailer, also called a 2nd fix nailer.
And choose the nails according to:
1.) which nailer you have, such as what the size nails is your nailer capable of firing
2.) how thick your panelling material is, plus an extra 20mn, so that you grab into the wall by at least 20mm

Cheers
Steven"
