"The floor preparation is everything when your fitting L V T, I fit new build for barrat Holme n Gabriel, the lot fitters take the toilet and the pedestal out the room , the skirtings come off before the either screed a concrete floor or plywood a chipboard floor, preparation is key , or you will have problems at the end of the job, I hope this has been good information to you"

"If the only problem is the tiles been univen the you can self level the floor before it down the new floor, but if the tiles are not solid enough then you may need to remove them and self level the sub floor prior to put the new floor. Thanks

"Hi, lvt gets glued down to substrate, if floor uneven this will translate in to final look
Leveling compound is recommended"

"This depends on how univen the floor is, lvt flooring needs to adhere to the surface, maybe if you use a 3mm thickness it could be ok, in case the level problem is minimal.
However linoleum is perhaps the right choice, unless you want to level up the floor."

"Hi, definitely. I suggest doing self- levelling smoothing on top of the tiles. Uneven levels of the subfloor have a big impact on quality job"

"Probably best to level with latex as thick underlay will compress over time. Hope this helps. Dave"

"The subfloor require levelling before fitting LVT. Glued down LVT would show all subfloor imperfection."
