Moving heavy furniture from home

How do I protect my wood floors when moving heavy furniture out of the house? Is there something I can use to help protect them or should I hire the professionals?

"When moving heavy furniture, the company that you hire, no matter if they are local company or small business, or professionals, they have to respect your requirements. And if your requirements are to protect your wooden floors while moving the furniture, they have to oblige to it."

"We all our moves we use floor rolls which protects the floor & carpets. In case we need to protect wider areas then we use blankets that are ideal especially on a rainy day."

"Lift up the furniture... So it doesn't scratch at all.
If something can only be dragged along the floor, try covering it with a soft cloth of it's a table leg... the foot.

There is nothing else you can do except move things slowly and gently!

"It is possible to get them covered and projected with something. The better option to make sure your floors stay as they are, would be to hire in some professionals to remove the furniture for you.

Many Thanks

"I would bubble wrap your legs of tables and sofas etc
This would prevent minimal scratch and less likely to trip over a floor covering"

"Get professional help as you could try a trolley but some times the wheels can dig into the wood or you can get removals sheets put under the item and pull along the floor it should slide the item with it easy enough to do or get the professional team in to lift each item where it needs to be"
