Moving a door - fixing/building wall

Our house is a typical 1930 mid-terraced house. When you enter you see a wall at the end of the corridor, because the kitchen door is under/behind the stairs.

We want to move the door to the left side of the wall (so you can see it when you enter the house) and close the area under the stairs to make storage space.

How much would cost to fix/build the wall (where the door sits currently) and open a door on the left side?

"My recommendation would be to get a couple of local builders in to have a look and advice. The price could range anywhere from £300 to £1500+ and because we can’t see it we wouldn’t be able to advice otherwise. Hope this helps and you get the works done to your satisfaction."

"Hi
Unfortunately with these older houses a site survey would be needed
A photo would help but a real assessment would definitely help in providing a quotation
Apologies if this is not the outcome you were hoping for
Hope you can get a site survey sorted."

"Well, it is better to see it in place so that you will regret how much it will cost you.but no problem to do it."

"To move the kitchen door to the left side of the wall and close the area under the stairs for storage, you would likely need to hire a contractor or builder to assess the space and provide a quote for the work. The cost can vary depending on factors like the materials used, labor costs, the complexity of the project, and your location. It's recommended to get multiple quotes from different professionals to compare prices and services. This way, you can get a better idea of the cost involved in fixing/building the wall and opening a new door in the desired location."
