Move living room door

Can anyone give advice? The lounge door is currently in a really awkward place. It would make much more sense to be further along the same wall (2 metres over) so we can fit a corner sofa in the spot opposite the tv. We would want the old door patched up as well. What sort of cost would we have to pay?

"There's many factors to take into consideration when it comes to moving a door. Would it be structurally safe to do so? Is it a load bearing wall? That being said, I would imagine it could all be done in a day so a carpenter's day rate should suffice"

"It would depend on the construction of the wall.
Brickwork or timber studwork. Cut new door opening block up old door. Plasterboard or render. Then Plaster finish. Move switches if required. Removal of rubble etc. Cost anywhere from £500 upwards. Best way is to get a builder to visit and view the work."

"To move the lounge door to a more convenient location and patch up the old door, you might be looking at a cost ranging from £500 to £1500 or more. It's advisable to gather quotes from local professionals to get a more precise estimate tailored to your specific requirements. This way, you can plan your budget accordingly for the desired changes in your lounge."
