"You would need to install a longer lintel above door
I would take out existing door and frame support lintel
Cut out for new lintel which would includ removing end of old lintel
Bed in new lintel and support then make good old opening which will support other end of new and old lintel’s
New frame and door"

"Around the £1000 - £1300 mark for a propper job. You could potentially fit a longer lintel and stud up the grid but you would be better off re building the old door way in block or brick as it will be less prone to cracking once repaired. Thanks"

"hi we are a small family run company and we would charge around £800-£900 for a job like this
this would include bricking up the old doorway , plastering to make good
and cutting out load bearing wall installing a new lintel and door casing
and waste removal"

"could range from £800-£1200 depending on whether or not it needs fire door lining and how you want the old doorway filling in"

"Simple. You just need to put some jacks where the new door is to go to hold up the blockwork, install a lintel, strip out the blocks from where the new door is to go then block up the old doorway. Day or two and a couple of hundred £’s for materials. Happy to take it on for you."
