Move a Stop Tap

My stop is currently on under the kitchen sink on the what was the original external wall, behind this wall in an extension and I would like to knock through to create a larger L-shaped kitchen.
In doing so I world be knocking through exactly where the current sink/stop tap is located and this would become the middle of the floor, would it possible to move the stop tap or recess into the floor?
TIA

"Yes it is possible, depending on what is going we’re the existing stop cock is, you could leave it in place, and run the supply into the new location, fitting a new stop cock.leaving the old one open.
Or you can turn the supply off outside of your property, take out the stop cock extend the supply to the new location and fit a new stop cock"

"In short yes this is certainly something that can be achieved. I would however recommend (depending on the distance to supplier stop tap on the road/street) replace the section of pipework, effectively running a new water supply to your property from the supply meter/stop tap. If you are investing money now you don’t want the inevitable failure of the existing stop tap or joint in the pipe work impacting your plans. Run a new main under ground to your preferred location (taking into consideration building regs, where pipe enters property, depth etc) this way you will know the condition and life expectancy of the pipework. This will save you digging up the floor in the future to repair an unknown"

"As long as you have an external stop tap. Replacement of internal stop tap straightforward. If no external stop valve ,could be a problem."

"Short answer is yes, you can determine the new location once you have the new kitchen plans, a bit of groundwork or pipe but no problem to move"

"Of course, the pipe can be extended to the new part of the kitchen, or wherever desired location is, simply by removing the current tap, extending the leg of pipework to go where the location is preferred, and a new stop tap installed there."

"Hello yes you can move the stop cock to a new location by extending it or if you put it under the floor you can put a second stop cock in to a better location"

"Hi,
Yes it is possible but it is not a small job to move it as it would need a channel and depends if it is a lead pipe etc."

"Look at the regulations into moving the main stop cock in a privately owned house first and make sure what you want to do applies with them"
