"Most modern but expensive is resin bound...I prefer block paving as you can always maintain it leak or sink you can remove block and replace even if they break ..unlike tarmac concrete once damage cannot repair.....I think block paving the best tho and can always look modern by design of colours and patterns edges that make job look nice..."
