Lining Paper Issues + Ceiling Paint

Hello! I have some lining paper in my living room that’s come off the wall especially behind the heater. What would you recommend to help fix it please.

Separately I have some seams of the lining paper that are a little obvious, what’s the best way to fix it please?

Finally the best paint to paint to paint a freshly plastered ceiling and how many coats please? Thanks!

Thanks in advance for your help!

"Hi so when I line walls I usually use border glue or ready mixed paste around any radiator or heater as stronger hold than standard paste to help with grip and any heat . Fresh plastered ceiling I normally thin emulsion for 1st coat then 2 normal coats of emulsion after that is ample

Kind regards"

".try to repaste the wall with ready mixed paste and stick back paper.
Try sanding them down with a fine sand paper and make good.
Any emulsion of your preference then apply a mist coat then tow full coats should do it."

"Its come away most likely because of the heat. Ideally you will want to remove the heater to get good access to the paper. Generally i would cut out the paper that has come away and replace with new lining paper by splicing it in with the old paper. This will not show any joins. If you are using the old paper you will need to dampen it down with water and leave it for ten minutes. Then you can use wallpaper paste or ideally border adhesive. You can then paint this area when dried. Seams can be filled with easy fill and then lightly sanded down ready to over paint. Any emulsion will do. However you will need to water the paint down considerably for the first coat. We call this a mist coat. Then you can apply as normal the paint according to the manufacturer's instructions. Neil."
