Kitchen worktop too low

Any advice appreciated to understand problem and any ideas to fix. My kitchen has been installed and the plans said the worktop height would be 88.2. However on completion the height is 84 cm which is far too low. Kitchen planner and installers are blaming each other and I’m stuck in the middle. Both mentioned floor being uneven and floor tiles not covering the whole floor but no one mentioned anything that this would affect height. To fix the installers have said they can take out and try to raise higher but may ruin kitchen and we’d have to pay for the fix. Any suggestions ?

"Sorry but that is purely down to the fitters. General height from floor to top of base units has always been 870mm ,these days worktops vary in thickness from 12.5mm - 70mm but most people work on overall height minimum 900mm.
The installers should have realised floor was uneven and allowed for this to allow appliances to fit under."

"It's very complicated to fix the cabinets on the wall, so you have to loosen them all and lift the legs. They'll have to buy. maia a few panel because after it lifts it goes this cuter and a lot of work. over 84 cm and very low"

"The standard height is 900mm to top of worktop. Seems to me the fitters have not set the legs high enough, standard plinths are 150mm, you can then plain down plinth if the floor is uneven , hope that helps"

"I would say that this completely depends on what sort of kitchen it is, if its on adjustable legs, it would be possible but obviously a cost would be involved"

"Down to the fitter I’m sorry, you always start a the highest point, might have to work on the plinths but it’s a common problem"

"Hi,
Yes the base units will need to be raised to desired height. The wall tiles or splash back panels are mounted just above your existing work tops. This is where the problem begins. If this is your situation.
Need to firstly agree on how to overcome this problem where you both can agree upon. There is always a way to sort problem if both parties firstly understand the problem and agree to take the appropriate steps to correct the problem.
All the best"

"My kitchen has been installed and the plans said the worktop height would be 88.2. …
Then it’s not the planners fault, the fitter is to blame. You didn’t say, but if the issue is that your appliances can’t fit under the worktop… in that case the readjustments must be done at fitters company’s cost to your satisfaction. If that’s not the case then you’re entitled to what you paid for and some form of compensation should suffice. I can’t imagine tiling being responsible for a difference of 4.2cm in height/depth, but even if it did, as floors are always uneven, your finished height should have been 88.2cm regardless"
