"Would recommend the schedule below
- cabinets
- worktop
- cookers and any other units.
- tiling
- flooring

Would be best to plan and know what you want the end result to be e.i units free standing or integrated
Positions of units. (Most important cooker Fridge n sink positions)"

"Best way forward is base units and work top then wall unit and tiling last"

"You start with replacing units / cabinets, fit new work top, tile the splash back , fit your appliances in place to include sink and water tap then start the decorations throughout ."

"Best thing to do is just change the doors on the cabinets. It’s cheap easy to do yourself and all cabinets are standard sizes so doors are readily available at any kitchen store."

"Great Question, in my personal opinion and in my years of experience it would depend on budget. If you need new appliances to live then replace them first until you can afford the kitchen you can always use the same appliance’s with your new kitchen.
So the order I would do is:
1, appliances
2, plaster/kitchen/plumbing/electrics. This one needs to be done as one job really.
3, tiling
4, paint
5, flooring

Hope this gives you some guidance."

"Hi Lee,

The most practical way is to replace elements in the reverse order they would have been installed initially.
That is……
Units floor, worktops, units wall, plinth, appliances, wall tiling, floor tiling (often done prior to the install also).
If this isn’t achievable, then I would concentrate on a specific elevation and work back from there.
If plumbing or appliances are to be re-positioned, then it will be tricky and need a bespoke approach.
Happy to have a look at your ideas if that will help.
All the best

"You should remove all kitchen units and clear
Then get a kitchen design don by a Mitch suppliers
YoY should the striip all tiling and wall covering
The you should have 1st fix electrics and plumbing done
You should then carry out all necessary plaster, decorations
You should then fit your kitchen units and appliances
Then fit your flooring and fit the plinths"

"As a kitchen fitter I would remove existing unit's but leave in place sink base unit and plumbing to washing machine. Remove wall tiles then make good walls. Paint walls and ceiling. tile the floor and tile floor under appliances ie washing machine and dishwasher then fit all cabinets , finally fit tiles or splashbacks"

"Hi Lee
Kitchen renovations can be fairly easily managed
But due to experience the first port of call would be the new kitchen design itself
This is because you may change things
The electrics are so important in this sort of project
So I would firstly get a free kitchen plan from most retailers but make out you are doing it as 1
Then see how the existing electrics meet the requirements of the new kitchen ie any changes
There maybe upgrade in appliances and the power supply Do this first and mark out for any new electrical points
Remember every appliance needs a fuse spur or isolation spur weather it’s visible or hidden in cupboards
Many thanks
Mark"

"It does depend on your financial situation and timescale. Ideally we would remove everything and redo electrics to meet new plan then plaster, painting and floor can wait if you wish but you wouldn't want to prep a room. That would then need changing to meet a new kitchen plan"
