Paint for bathrooms and kitchens should be washable (soft sheen,durable Matt, acrylic eggshell etc). These paints stand up to condensation/steam/water much better than standard emulsion so will last longer."

"Silk emulsions are made for use in bathrooms and kitchen but you may be able to use vinyl soft sheen (satin) paints or specially-formulated bathroom/kitchen paints, I'd highly recommend specially formulated bathroom and kitchen paint."

"Yes you can if you buy a bathroom or kitchen ceiling paint you can use it on both. They are specially formulated to withstand excess humidity."
