Is vinegar effective at removing oxidisation from aluminium?

"000 grade Wire wool & Autosol are your best bet Adam, I don’t believe vinegar would cut the mustard so to speak. Regards -Jake"

"Not sure about aluminium , I’d use a fine sanding pad of a polishing cream"

"Yes! Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a bowl or spray bottle. Apply the solution to the aluminum surface and let it sit for 10–15 minutes. Then, gently scrub the surface with a soft cloth or sponge in circular motions. Rinse and dry the surface thoroughly."
