Is my driveway permeable?

Is there a way for me to tell precisely how permeable my driveway is? I’m trying to figure out how well it deals with water.

Yeah it’s quite simple, to test it get the hosepipe out and try to flood the area and observe

Hi Charles, In answer to your question, It really depends on the type of driveway surface, the substructure that the driveway finish is laid upon and of course the subsoil type. If your driveway is for example installed on clay type soils then your drainage is impermeable, therefore not allowing a suitable draining area.

There are ways of draining surface water from your driveway finished surface.
