"An internal garage takes up a lot of the house footprint.
If you can go for one that's not internal unless you wanted to convert it into living space"

"Internal Single garage – An internal single garage is built within the structure of the house. This will usually add floor space to your home. This is also the easiest type of garage to convert. Single garage – A single garage conversion again will add floor space to your home."

"An internal garage is normally built at the same time as the property. It has at least two walls that are insulated as they are part of the main house so in effect its warmer. In my opinion they did it to save giving you a wider plot hence geting more properties per acre."
