Hi I am looking to get internal doors changed and looking at heavy Doroughe door or Thurxton door.
Not sure which one would look better as have the 4 frame ones and two downstairs which are glazed kitchen and dinning / room lounge.
Which one would add appeal and

"Hi,

This would depend on the style and flow of your house & decor however the Dordogne is the one that I would lean towards.

"When choosing internal doors, especially if you're looking for consistency and appeal throughout your home, it's essential to consider both aesthetics and functionality. Let's look at the two options you've mentioned: **Doroughe** and **Thurxton** doors.

### Considerations for Door Selection:

1. **Style and Aesthetics:**
- **Doroughe Doors:** Generally, these doors have a more traditional and solid look, which can add warmth and character to your home. If you’re aiming for a classic or rustic aesthetic, these could be a wonderful choice.
- **Thurxton Doors:** Often, these doors might feature a more contemporary or clean-lined design. If your home has modern elements, these could fit well. They may also have a sleeker profile, contributing to a more airy feel.

2. **Consistency:**
- Since you mentioned wanting all the same doors throughout, it’s essential to choose a style that complements all areas of your home. Look at how each door style will look in both your glazed and non-glazed options.

3. **Room Considerations:**
- For the downstairs rooms, since you want solid doors instead of glazed ones, consider how each style will look in terms of scale and proportion with your existing frames. A heavier, solid door can provide a nice contrast to lighter spaces like kitchens and lounges.

4. **Functionality:**
- Think about the practical use of each door. If sound insulation is a priority (e.g., between a kitchen and dining area), heavier doors might provide better sound dampening.

5. **Finish and Color:**
- Consider how both styles can be finished. A matching finish (e.g., paint or stain) across all the doors helps achieve a cohesive look.

### Which One to Choose?
- If you prefer a more traditional, robust feel and a classic appeal, the **Doroughe** door might be the best option.
- If you are leaning toward a modern, clean look that can easily blend with both traditional and contemporary decor, the **Thurxton** door could be the better choice.

### Recommendations:
- If possible, visit a showroom or look at both door styles in person. This can give you a better sense of how each door would look and feel in your space.
- Consider bringing home samples or images of each door style to see how they match with your existing frames and overall home decor.

Ultimately, the best choice will depend on your personal taste and the overall theme of your home. Good luck with your decision! If you have further questions, feel free to ask. 😊"

"Depending on the frames and the age of the property, as if this is a folded wrapped door then you don't have much wiggle room for planning them down"
