"Industrial interior design is a style that is inspired by the raw, rough, and utilitarian look of factories, warehouses, and other industrial spaces. This style is characterized by exposed brick, concrete, and metal, as well as vintage or reclaimed furniture and fixtures.
Industrial interior design is relatively easy for a DIYer to implement, as many of the key elements, such as exposed brick and concrete, can be achieved with a few materials and some basic tools. Other elements, such as vintage furniture and metal accents, can be found at thrift stores, flea markets, or online marketplaces.
Some tips for implementing industrial interior design as a DIYer include:
Focus on raw materials: Use raw, unpolished materials, such as concrete, brick, and metal, to create a rough, industrial look.
Incorporate vintage elements: Find vintage or reclaimed furniture, such as metal lockers, factory carts, or reclaimed wood, to add character and history to your space.
Use simple, functional pieces: Industrial design is all about function, so focus on simple, practical pieces that serve a specific purpose.
Play with lighting: Consider installing industrial-style light fixtures, such as metal pendants or bare-bulb lights, to enhance the overall look and feel of the space.
Add texture: Use textured elements, such as rough-hewn wood, exposed brick, or concrete, to add depth and interest to the space.
By focusing on these key elements and keeping the overall look simple and practical, a DIYer can easily create an industrial interior design that is stylish, functional, and tailored to their personal taste and needs"

"Implementing industrial interior design as a DIY project can be quite feasible depending on your skills, resources, and the extent of the transformation you're aiming for. Here are some aspects to consider:
Research and Planning: Start by researching industrial design styles and gathering inspiration from sources like magazines, websites, and social media platforms. Create a mood board to visualize your ideas and plan the overall look you want to achieve.
Materials and Furnishings: Look for salvaged or reclaimed materials such as old wood planks, metal pipes, and distressed furniture pieces. You can often find these items at salvage yards, thrift stores, or online marketplaces. Be creative with repurposing items to fit your design scheme.
Color Scheme: Industrial interiors often feature a neutral color palette with shades of gray, black, white, and brown. These colors complement the raw materials and add to the minimalist aesthetic. Consider using paint or industrial-style wallpapers to achieve the desired effect.
Textures and Finishes: Embrace textures such as exposed brick, concrete floors, and metal accents to add visual interest to the space. Experiment with different finishes like matte, rough, or weathered surfaces to enhance the industrial look.
Lighting: Industrial lighting fixtures play a crucial role in setting the ambiance of the space. Look for vintage-inspired pendant lights, exposed bulb fixtures, or industrial-style lamps to illuminate the room and accentuate the industrial vibe.
DIY Projects: Depending on your skills and comfort level, you can tackle various DIY projects such as building furniture, installing shelves, or refinishing surfaces. There are plenty of online tutorials and resources available to guide you through these processes.
Safety Considerations: When working with power tools, heavy materials, or structural modifications, prioritize safety by wearing appropriate protective gear and following recommended safety precautions.
Overall, implementing industrial interior design as a DIY project can be both rewarding and achievable with careful planning, creativity, and resourcefulness. Start with smaller projects and gradually work your way up to more complex tasks as you gain confidence and experience."

"Different things to different people - but essentially implementing images, surfaces and items that would be linked to an industrial environment. This could range from exposed brickwork such as a New York loft, to using bare copper piping to run wiring or make lamp stands or chandeliers from. Not a typical look for the average house but tends to work in converted apartments where structures such as metal beams or brickwork can be used to provide this style."
