Induction hob fitment to replace a gas hob

How much might it cost to install a 30 amp fuse for an induction hob?
We have a spare position for this on the board which incidentally is the same one since the house was built (2000)
The circuit board is in the garage which has a door leading into the kitchen.
We currently just have a gas hob.

"If its a 30amp fuse then you have an old board that can't be added to. You can either upgrade your board in its entirety or add an additional board to supply your new circuit. Depending which way you go with it your probably looking at £300 - £800"

"Installing a 30A fuse (or more commonly, a 32A circuit) for an induction hob will require:
1. Running a new dedicated circuit from the consumer unit (CU) to the hob location.
2. Installing a 6mm² or 10mm² cable, depending on the hob’s power requirements and cable run length.
3. Adding a cooker control unit (CCU) with an isolator switch near the hob.
4. Upgrading the consumer unit if necessary (but yours is from 2000, so it may still comply).

Estimated Costs:
• Basic Installation (if CU is compliant & wiring is straightforward): £250 - £450
• If additional RCD protection or CU upgrade is needed: +£100 - £300
• If long cable runs or wall chasing required: +£100 - £200

Total Estimated Cost: £250 - £700"

"Same as what TD said.
I would suggest it could be a little more than £300 if it’s a difficult route."
