I have a white ash color on my brick wall. What can I use to get it off my brick walls?

"The white looking ash is efflorescence usually appear to be oozing from the jointing mortar or at times from the bricks .This material is some salt like material
found in some of the type of the cement used in the jointing mortar 0r, found in the material composition of the bricks.
It can be cleaned off with brick acid, but the white ash will come back, implying that you might have to continue washing the bricks until when all the salts will be finished from the the mortar joints. Thus , it will not be a one time process. Requires patience."
