I can see daylight in loft now neighbours had their roof done

Hi
My neighbour just had their slate roof redone. They've used felt, new slates and a bonding gutter between the houses.
The problem is that were the 2 roofs meet I can see daylight now in my lift. The slates on my roof now slope up a little bit to get onto the bonding gutter. There is no sign of any water coming in though, even though we've had heavy rain, strong winds and snow. Should I be worried?

"Yes potential leaks if you can see daylight one of the problems could be that thay haven’t overlapped the felt were the roof meets"

"If your sure you couldn’t see daylight before your neighbours had there roof done.
Then if I was you, I would invite there roofer to take a look and explain why.
In my opinion.
Seeing daylight through your roof tiles is not a good thing. I know that you said that you haven’t had any problems yet !
When you have a bunch of insects such as wasps etc you may have wished you’d had that chat with there roofer."

"Best to get it checked just incase, getvit fixed before the rain gets in if possible"

"I would have a roofer to come round and have a look at the joint on the roof as you can have different bonding gutters and there are made specifically for slate to tile"

"That have never done the bonding gutter correctly. It needs to be sealed properly where Pro roofing we can come and check your side for you"

"You haven't said whether you have felt on your roof if not this probably the reason you can see daylight. As for the fact the rain isn't coming through more than likely is isn't going to leak however I would inform your neighbor in case future problems arise"

"Yes if you can see daylight in your loft this shouldn't be happening you will get a problem it will depend on which angle the rain is getting blown down so just keep an eye on it also as long as your slate are fixed properly it won't matter that they are raised up that is because of the channels going down the bonding join"

"Yes this will need a bonding tray in for the support of the 2 roofs joining together

Kind regards

"As long is not rain inside, is not a problem, but is good to have an investigation to avoid any problems in the future !"
