How can I find out if my tree is protected or not?

"You can check on your local gov website for Tree protection orders (TPO) or “CO” conservation orders

Some trees will have a small silver stamp on the main trunk with serial code (this code will state the tree is protected)"

"You can confirm for definite if a tree has a tpo or is situated in a conservation area by calling your local councils planning department up and give them your adress. Some councils have this information readily available on there website on a map.
