"Strip the bed: Remove all bedding including sheets, pillowcases, and mattress protectors.
2. Vacuum: Use a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment to thoroughly vacuum the surface of the mattress. Pay special attention to seams, crevices, and edges where dust, dirt, and allergens may accumulate.
3. Spot clean stains: Treat any stains on the mattress with a gentle stain remover or a mixture of mild detergent and water. Blot the stains rather than rubbing to avoid spreading them.
4. Deodorize: Sprinkle baking soda over the entire surface of the mattress and let it sit for several hours or overnight. Baking soda helps absorb odors. Vacuum the baking soda off the mattress using the upholstery attachment.
5. Sanitize: To sanitize the mattress, you can use a handheld steamer, which can help kill bacteria, dust mites, and other allergens. Alternatively, you can use a fabric-safe disinfectant spray and let it air dry.
6. Flip and rotate: If your mattress is double-sided, flip it over and rotate it to ensure even wear and tear. This step may not apply to all mattresses, especially those with pillow tops or specific manufacturer instructions.
7. Air it out: If possible, take the mattress outside on a sunny day to air it out. Sunlight can help kill bacteria and freshen the mattress.
8. Protect the mattress: Consider using a mattress protector or encasement to help keep your mattress clean and prolong its lifespan. Wash the mattress protector regularly according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
9. Make the bed: Once the mattress is completely dry and aired out, make the bed with clean bedding."

"Vaccum the mattress first, then use a household steamer to destroy any bugs or bacteria on them, so the mattress is completely steamed and dry cleaned"

"Depends, is it a deep clean or light clean? How dirty is the mattress??
Do you need to spray detergent to deodorise and disinfect?

For a light clean, sprinkle some baking soda/ bicarbonate of soda onto the mattress, leave for a while (maybe an hour or two) then hoover off. This will absorb most sweat/ liquids and odours. Can be used right away once done.

For a deeper clean, you can use any disinfectant or any spray of your choosing, and use a wet/ dry hoover to dry it faster. Otherwise, you'll have to leave it to sun-dry/ air dry for agessss."

"Rinse a cloth with a cold water
Dab the stain with the cloth
Sprinkle baking soda over the stain
Leave it for 30 minutes
Rinse a cloth with cold water again
Dab the stain until it lifts
Repeat this process as many times as necessary and leave it to dry
Once dry, vacuum the surface of the mattress to get rid of the baking soda
Air the mattress to dry"

"To clean your mattress you can either sprinkle some baking soda on it and leave it for about 10-20 mins and vacuum it of that will clean and refresh it. You can also soak a towel in a fabric softer mix with soap and vinegar then get a warm iron cover it with the towel then go over the mattress it will clean it and keep it fresh."
