Hello, in my opinion, its mostly about your preference, budget and needs. In some specific situations could be about a time of ground you want to place it on. But usually you should be able to place any kind you wish. Skillful joiner should be able to build any kind of fence in most of the areas.

Longevity - the better quality fence instilled, generally the longer it will last
Concrete / composite / metal fence oats will last longer and are stronger (Jackson’s wooden fencing does come with a. 25 year guarantee however is not a cheap option)

Aeathetics - consider your properties facade and garden, is it super modern or ore traditional, choose the fence to blend in with the environment

Terrain - if on a steep slope, a hand built feather edge style fencing will give you a more pleasing result rather than constantly stepping up or down

Maintenance- wooden fencing will need more maintenance over composite fencing (Staining / painting etc) so this can add additional costs along the life of the fence
