How many years do radiators last for?

How many years should a radiator last? And how can I make sure they last a long time?

"They may look good on the outside but an untreated (chemical inhibitor) system can corrode internally. A system water sample is necessary to establish the quality of your central heating water. Age of boiler, system design etc.
Some systems have 40 / 50 year old radiators in them, ok if maintained, chemically power flushed, magnet filter on return pipe helps vastly."

"It depends on the quality of the radiator but to extend the lifetime it is best to have them flushed at least once every ten years and to make sure the correct dosage of chemicals are in the heating system"

"Normally 10/15yrs. They last longer if the heating sywtem is regularly serviced."

"To ensure the radiators don't rust, an inhibitor should be added at the time of filling the system.
If this is done correctly the radiators will last indefinitely."

"As long as its working and noleaks on it no rust it should be ok"

"No easy answer I am afraid this depends on the hardness of your water if chemicals have been added to protect radiators and how much air in system.
Radiators rust from the inside when air in the system mixes with the water."

"Radiators can last a long time, to prolong this you can add inhibitor solution which will protect them from internal corrosion"

"It can last for many years, if an mag filter is fitted on the return pipe of the boiler (assuming you getting the boiler serviced every year)"
