How long, approximately, does it take to install wood floors for two rooms in a semi-detached house?

"Hi Cheryl there are many variables to take into account. Type of flooring, the shape of the room. However, as a rough guide, I would say most fitters could comfortably install approx thirty-five square metres in a day. Some more, some less so I would say a day a good 2 man team could do both your rooms This is in my experience. Hope that answer helps 😊"

"Depending on the area of the room and the style/design wooden flooring is quite a quick process once the layout is confirmed. For a standard living room usually around 12-16m2, you should be able to lay the complete floor in a day as long as it is ready. If it’s joists or reclaimed flooring sometimes it can take a little more patience to achieve the finish. If it’s laminate or engineered flooring then it would usually be a pretty straightforward process"

"This will all depend on the person who is installing I would personally take a day but it would all be depending how quick they work but just because it's only a days work doesn't mean that it is a day rate pay they have spent time learning their trade and have to pay overheads and maintain their tools while also putting a roof of there family's head they also want to be able to do nice things with there family."

"It depends on how big the rooms are and shape. Anything in the way and what type of flooring going down"

"That would vary depending on what type of floor is being installed and what the area shape is, a good fitter in normal circumstances in a domestic setting should lay 15 - 20 sq Mt's of laminate on an average per day, a glued down herringbone block and the border would be at least double, roughly speaking"

"Depending on the size, shape of rooms 1 day / 2 maximum should be plenty of time to carry out work in both rooms with all finishings"

"It depends on the size but for 2 rooms say medium size I would put down 1 day maybe a day and half at a push"

"Depending on the floor space and if you're taking skirting boards off or cutting in underneath."

"It all depends on the size of the area, a medium-size room with beading usually takes a day without coming across any problems. Hope this helps."
