How can reappearing hairline cracks be hidden?

Hello all
I’m sure some of you have had this issue yourselves where cracks show up on walls, but I’ve had some reappearing hairline cracks along some of my walls, even after repainting the walls.
I had previously filled these cracks using compound with coats of paint on after – but they still show up again in time.
Is there anyway ways that I can resolve these recurring hairline cracks?
Any advice would be appreciated on this!

"Hello it's either subsidence or wrong mix or brick pointing collapsing which can cause this, again it could be just old age.
Thanks"
