How can I tell how old my boiler is?

After moving into a new property, is there any way I can tell how old my boiler is? If I have any concerns, can I also access its servicing history; is this possible?

"You can call the manufacturer and provide them with the serial number. For some boilers, you can read it from the serial number. You should also have a service record in the original installation manual"

"Hi, if the service history is not available with the manufacturers instructions there is Noway of knowing history.
We can tell you the age of your boiler from the make and model.
If you have just moved on it’s always good to get your boiler
Serviced if you’re unsure of history.

"If you look for the GC number and contact the manufacturer they would be able to give you an idea of the year it was made/installed if registered."

"Take the serial number from the boiler and GC number and go online or phone manufacturer and they will tell you or if you have service book it will be on the commissioned page"

"You can call the manufacturer and provide them your boiler serial number. Or if it was registered when installed they just require your address."

"You should have a booklet that states how many years of service it has had (a bit like a benchmark )

The only way to tell how old a boiler is by identifying the serial number if you can get in touch with me I would gladly be willing to help ., can find out if it’s still under warranty also.

Have a great day

"If it is a new build house you should have received a pack up from the builder with everything you need. If it’s not a new build your solicitor should have asked for a buildings compliance certificate from the previous owner and asked for its service history or at least asked for it to be serviced before completion.
If none of this is possible, find the boiler serial number(usually underneath, on top or in the front pull-down panel). Then go online and there are numerous sites that tell you how to identify the year of manufacture from the serial number (all manufacturers are different). If the serial number cannot be seen it will be inside the boiler case. In this event, you will need a gas safe registered engineer to find it for you."
