Hi, what do I need to do to remove lichen from my roof? Can this be done DIY and if so, what method could I use? Does it depend on the type of roof I have?

Yes it depends on what type off roof you have a wire brush to slate and tiled roofs then hose down with water then spray over roof with moss/lichen remover let it dry then spray again with remover

You’ll need a tub of roof cleaner, or mould remover and it needs to be sprayed on then scraped then sprayed again. I would never suggest a DIY’er getting on the roof and you will not know how to stand on it

Soft wash (sodium hypochlorite) it is a no pressure way to clean roof and not cause damage and has good results

Depending on what roof it is ,you can different sort of mixes  vinegar or bleach can remove it or jet wash it .
Your roof might need sealing or repair  once cleaned  .
