How can I get rid of weeds?

Looking at week killer options for my driveway and garden. Will weed killer kill all common weeds and how can I make sure it doesn’t kill my normal plants too? Lastly, is there a way to kill weeds permanently?

"The problem with weeds you can’t get rid of them due to wind, birds and insects that cause pollination.

The best way to remove weeds is to dig them out.

For paths and gravel remove weeds and then apply weed killer this will calm the regrowing process bleach also works on paths/slabs."

"You can use any type of weed-killer on your drive, on your lawn you need a specialised formula which doesn't harm grass (can be obtained from most garden centres)
Weeds in flower beds need manual removal as not too damage plants near by, dig out tap root to be sure they don't come back, don't hoe!"

"You will get specific weed killer for just weeds but I'm unsure of whats best as I use 1 herbicide and just be careful not to contaminate plants/grass.

If its a driveway you may be able to power wash most things, no there is not a weed proof that is 100% possible.

"You can spot spray weeds on a driveway then wait for it to kill them then pull them out depending on what the surface of the driveway is. If the weeds keep coming back you may need to find out how they're getting through if there is some membrane that isn’t keeping the weeds out or if you need to just keep spraying them."

"Hi there.
You will need to apply a Systemic Herbicide such as "Roundup"."

"Dig up as many weeds as you can & then apply weed killer
That should stop the weeds coming through"
